The ports are all there including the new Thunderbolt port. Apps open up fast & this thing benchmarks as high and even a little higher than last year' s higher end models. On the MacBook Pro I want the extended battery life that the integrated graphics offer. A true gamer is playing their heavy stuff on an xbox 360 or PS3 anyway. The graphics are just as good as they were before for everyday use. Don' t believe the negatives of the integrated HD 3000 integrated graphics by Intel. The battery will last 2-3 years, but then you'll have to get it serviced. If you're looking for portability, and a Mac, look into the Macbook Air, those are amazingly light.
